About the event

Does your heart yearn for something nearly forgotten? Do you wish for meaningful friendships in a place of great beauty, to live simply, to cherish each breath and to feel connected with all life?

Imagine walking barefoot on the cool earth beneath giant sequoias that have watched over this land for thousands of years. Listen to the calls of Raven and Chickadee as you and your friends practice ancient skills and share meals together. Smell the pine and fir branches of our evening campfire as we hear timeless stories and share about the day's adventures.

This very special week is an opportunity to remember the beautiful ways of being together in nature with the guidance of Wintu Elder Ted Dawson and Stone Age skills expert Chris Morasky. Join us as we remember together. Join us for this magical experience.

A little bit about Ted:

My grandmother is Nor Rel Muk Wintu. She taught me about herbal healing from the time I was a young child.

Passion for my ancestral ways was reawakened in the early 1980’s as I was completing my work at UCSC as an Ethno-Botanist and Health Educator. In 2008 I completed a two year Master Herbalist Instructor Certification program at The Global College of Natural Medicine. When we are connected with ourselves, our Creator, and our Mother Earth, we are balanced. Our connection with everyone and all things is what keeps us healthy.
