The oldest stone tools date back 3.3 million years! Replicating these tools and using them opens a door to understanding the beginning of the journey to today. Who we are is inextricably tied to our relationship with stones. In this class, we’ll talk with the Stone People about slicing, stabbing, grinding, and smashing! We’ll explore types of rocks and methods of manufacture spanning from brute force to refined art. This is a class that is both art and science. There is a technical accuracy that is precise and yet there is also an intuitive “feel" that can be graceful. All of your most ancient ancestors shaped stone into tools and their knowledge and wisdom lives in you, sleeping… until you awaken it.

To cancel your booking for a full refund, you must cancel no later than 30 days before the start date of the offering. All bookings are fully transferable at any time. You must email us with the name and contact information of your transferee. Our offerings take place rain or shine. We do not cancel or refund for inclement weather.
