Urban Homesteaders, Jr. Location: Altadena Day: Two Sundays Per Month Time: 9am - 11am Ages: 11 and Under Instructor: Christina Conte Cost: $40 drop in/$250 for the series (for pro-rated tuition please email us and we'll provide you with a code.) **Parent must accompany child to class. Three Sessions: Session 1: Sept 10, 24, Session 2: Oct 8, 22, Session 3: Nov 5, 19 Welcome to Urban Homesteaders, Junior! This exciting, hands-on course is designed to introduce young children to the world of urban homesteading. Taking place at a working urban homestead in Altadena, this class offers an engaging and interactive learning experience that empowers young learners to develop essential homesteading skills while fostering a deeper connection to nature and sustainability. By the end of this course, your urban homesteaders will have gained valuable skills and knowledge about sustainable living, gardening, animal husbandry, water conservation, fiber arts, herbalism, fermenting, and so much more. They will leave the class with a sense of empowerment, a deeper connection to the natural world, and many homesteading goods that they have made or gathered on their own.


Cancellation Policy

To cancel your booking for a full refund, you must cancel no later than 30 days before the start date of the offering. All bookings are fully transferable at any time. You must email us with the name and contact information of your transferee. Our offerings take place rain or shine. We do not cancel or refund for inclement weather. We do not offer refunds for COVID-related issues.
